Pirate Nation launches PVP alongside 10 million PIRATE prize event

In conjunction with launching its anticipated PVP mode, Proof of Play’s Pirate Nation has announced a two-week PVP event comprising a 10 million PIRATE prize pool, worth over $500,000.
Called Legend of Anubis, the event launches as Pirate Nation transitions away from its previous season-based system to instead revolve around shorter events. These will have defined timelines and feature more competitive challenges where rewards are revealed ahead of the event.
It will also include prizes beyond just the PIRATE token, with rewards based on a new leaderboard. Players will have to beat their opponents in order to pick up trophies and rank up on the leaderboard. However losing battles will also cost trophies. Climbing the PVP leaderboard also means unlocking rewards which will remain even as a player may lose their rank.

Because Pirate Nation is deployed fully onchain, all losses, wins, and transactions are recorded onchain, ensuring transparency and fairness. Proof of Play’s native matchmaking system also means players are faced with opponents of an appropriate level.
Not mentioning bots specifically, Proof of Play has also updated its rules regarding exploitative and suspicious trading during events, essentially disqualifying those violating the rules from earning rewards.
