Our latest crunch of games listed by PC game distribution platform Epic Games suggests its catalogue of blockchain games is still growing fast.
At the start of May 2024, we reported that Epic was listing 127 games it labelled “Blockchain/NFT Game”.
Now, throughout the month of May and two weeks into June, Epic Games has added an additional 20 web3 games – up 16% – making it a total of 147.
Among its recent additions, the most prominent title to join the platform is Parallel Studios’ sci-fi-themed Parallel TCG, currently available in early access.
In development since 2021, Parallel TCG has grown to become one of the most anticipated blockchain games in the web3 gaming space. Building on a dystopian narrative of five parallel civilizations each trying to retake control of planet earth, the game features strategic deck-building with turn-based matches. The game has particularly gained praise for its immersive storytelling and art style.
In addition to Parallel TCG, the team is also working on AI-based survival simulator Colony, which is due to launch in 2025.
