Sky Mavis cuts ties with Ragnarok Monster World

Sky Mavis has announced its year-long partnership with Singapore-based developer 0x& has come to an abrupt end.

In a surprising turn of events, the two companies are parting ways following what Sky Mavis co-founder Aleksander Larsen calls a breach of agreement, including the Ragnarok Monster World developer ignoring advice from Sky Mavis, and secretly signing a deal with a different blockchain.

Although the news might be unexpected to the community, Sky Mavis has seen a pattern unfold over the last couple of months, with 0x& not being able to keep up with the changes implemented since Ronin became an open network in February 2025.

Initially announcing on social platform X that Ragnarok Monster World and its associated assets would be removed from Ronin within the next 48 hours, with Ragnarok Monster World NFTs no longer available to trade on Ronin Market, Larsen has since revised his statement

“Rather than removing Ragmon assets from the Ronin marketplace we will remove their checkmark, making it clear that this is not a Sky Mavis endorsed/related game any longer.”

So while Ragnarok Monster World assets will continue to be tradable on other markets within the wider Ronin ecosystem due to Ronin now being permissionless, the project will not receive any endorsements or other benefits from its now cancelled collaboration with Sky Mavis.
