Following its early access release in February, Yolo.ex has now officially launched via Epic Games Store.
Combining sci-fi story-based gameplay with live DeFi trading elements, Yolo.ex brings players into a 3D world built using Unreal Engine, where they take on the role of a new recruit who has joined a trading firm.
Set in the year 2056, Yolo.ex will release seven story-driven episodes that progress the narrative over time and enhance the gaming experience. While originally aimed at crypto traders, the game is free-to-play and doesn’t require any assets to start playing.
“We set out from the very beginning to explore what a gaming frontend would look like for crypto markets,” explained Yolo.ex founder and CEO Alan Gibbons.
“Our team of game developers and high frequency traders have joined forces to build something really unique in our experiential Markets 3.0 offering.”
Powered by Hyperliquid, Jupiter and other DeFi protocols, Markets 3.0 serves as a marketplace where players choose to take ownership of their assets.
Designed to be multichain, the early access of Yolo.ex has been running on Solana.
